“Mr. Chirvasuta was employed as a contractor for the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC during the period July to October 2002. During this period Mr. Chirvasuta demonstrated outstanding capabilities in electrical circuit design, construction, and operation of advanced electrical systems. His job was to design a rep-rated solid state switch based on stacked IGBTs. He started the project using a computer based circuit code and based on this design study he assembled a bread board circuit. After one month of testing and optimizing the switch the design was finalized and integrated into a high voltage pulser unit.
During his several months of work here at the Naval Research Laboratory Mr. Chirvasuta utilized his experience in electric circuits along with his mechanical design skills to produce a unique piece of electrical hardware. The system is on the cutting edge of high voltage pulsers. His performance made it obvious that he had years of experience in designing and building complex electrical systems.
