Who we are:

KDE Electric is a proud family-owned business serving the beautiful county of Shenandoah Virginia. The company was founded in 2003 by Emil Chirvasuta, who came to the United States from Romania in 1993, just a few years after the fall of communism in Europe. Back in Romania, Emil completed a five-year college program and earned his degree in electrical engineering. After spending ten years in Maryland, the Chirvasuta family fell in love with the Shenandoah Valley’s small-town charm and decided to make it their home. That’s when Emil put his skills and passion to work by starting KDE Electric. Before opening the business, Emil gained valuable experience as an electrical engineer for a U.S. Department of Defense contractor. Today, Emil holds a master electrician’s license in both Virginia and West Virginia. Together with his family, he has built KDE Electric into a business that values hard work, integrity, and treating every customer like a neighbor.
